OSG is pleased to present our first-class line of Cobalt (HSS-Co) end mills. Our HSS-Co end mills have a higher hardness range than regular High-Speed Steel (HSS) end mills due to an 8% cobalt content, which results in increased tool life and overall performance.
HSS-Co end mills are designed to mill difficult-to-machine materials, and are more forgiving than carbide tooling. Where carbide has a tendency to break or chip in less rigid operations, HSS-Co is ideal for such applications.
OSG uses a premium HSS-Co substrate, while some competitor products utilize a more basic grade of HSS, resulting in reduced hardness and a decreased selection of materials for which their tools can be effective.

The new CoroMill® 790 Al Endmill - the number one aluminium endmill on the market, designed, in all respects, for HSM performance.
The CoroMill 790 cutter has been developed to meet the extreme manufacturing demands of frame components for the aerospace industry as well as machining of deep cavities faced by die and mould makers. It is effectively used for operations such as steep ramping and circular interpolation in helix.
With inserts firmly secured by a unique design of the support face in the insert seat, possible consequences of high radial forces, generated at high speeds, can be eliminated.
This insert security also guarantees accurate location of the cutting
edges - almost eliminating insert tolerance errors and thus any resulting run out.
Together with the most stable mounting on the market - the Coromant Capto® - you have an unbroken chain of precision elements - from cutting edge to spindle nose. |

WELDON 2AR-BN:
Our 2AR-BN is designed for roughing non-ferrous materials where the application demands a high metal removal rate.
We have combined a high-shear, 40 degree helix with a cylindrical margin for chatter resistant, smooth machining in all non-ferrous materials.
The 2AR-BN is available from stock as a bright tool or with Zirconium Nitride (ZrN) and Titanium Carbonitride (TiCN) coatings for improved performance and extended tool life. Special quotes and non-stocked coatings are available upon request.
WELDON 4SR-BN:
Our 4SR-BN tools have the same full eccentric primary grind, and 40 degree flute helix as our 3SR series. We have added a fourth flute to this proven design to provide up to a 30%+ increase in metal removal rates for those operations that demand higher levels of productivity in steel and ferrous alloy roughing.
Our 4SR-BN is stocked with Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) and Titanium Carbonitride (TiCN) coatings in stub and standard lengths. Special quotes and non-stocked coatings are available upon request. |

Jabro Tools - premium solid carbide tools
The Dutch solid carbide tool specialist Jabro became a member of the Seco Tools group in 2001. The company has a full range of high quality solid carbide tools for the Aerospace, Die & Mould as well as many other precision engineering segments. Jabro's product range is a natural extension of Seco's products.
"Completion of this transaction is of great significance for Seco and part of the continuous process to strengthen Seco's competitiveness within important markets and customer segments," says Lars Renström, President and Chief Executive Officer of Seco Tools.
With 120 employees Jabro is among the leading companies in the product area solid-carbide end mills - a fast-growing area primarily focused on the aviation and die and mold industries. Through this acquisition, Seco Tools expands its product offering to customers, thereby strengthening its competitiveness in serving the above-mentioned customer segments.

| Six new ranges of Dormer cutters are made from High Speed Steel-XS1, a powder metallurgy steel with toughness properties better able to withstand the shock load and intermittent cutting associated with milling operations. The new material performs at speeds and feeds normally associated with HSCo cutters. Their bronze finish is able to provide a uniform structure and hardness at the tool surface. This material/this finish applies to C191, C192, C291, C292, C391, C392. |

SOLID CARBIDE END MILLS:
Our micro-grain carbide substrate offers excellent hardness, wear resistance and high strength. These tools can provide increased feeds and speeds and enhanced tool life in applications that have rigid set-ups.
HIGH SPEED STEEL END MILLS AND MISCELLANEOUS CUTTERS:
We offer a variety of general purpose and special application end mills and cutters that have been designed to ANSI and NAS specifications in our high speed steel grouping. These tools are made from a substrate that offers very good abrasion resistance for wear and red hardness at higher milling
temperatures than other high speed steels.
COBALT END MILLS:
Our cobalt grouping also offers tools that meet the ANSI and NAS specifications and have been designed for general purpose and special applications. The 8% cobalt substrate in these tools allows a higher hardness, which provides better abrasion resistance and higher red hardness benefits, versus standard high speed steel substrates.
POWDERED METAL END MILLS:
Powdered Metal tools provide a bridge between cobalt tool performance characteristics and carbide tool performance characteristics.
ROUGHING / FINISHING AND ROUGHING END MILLS:
These tools are capable of high metal removal rates while producing a finish which is usually equivalent to that produced by conventional finishing end mills. The roughing/finishing end mills are offered with different application specific substrates and specialized cutting geometries to maximize material removal. |
