FDL is a CW laser source (continous wave emission) with a wave length range from 810 to 980 nm, normally adopted in the field of mid-high powerdiode laser system.
Projected, engineered and patented by Laservall, FDL utilises a unique laser beam re-shaping module (realized in class 1000 white room), which allows the beam injection in a small diameter monocore optic fiber, obtaining, at the end of it, an extremely high brightness spot and excellent precision in the area thermally affected. FDL has been designed for industrial application and industrial environment, thanks to the small dimension (power rack only 19") and to the air cooling system. The optic fiber allows to set the focussing head far from the power supply, giving to the system a grat freedom and flexibility. Laser emission is controlled by a remoted command box panel (for stand alone units) or by other control systems such as PLC, PC, Host Computer.

Distributed Feedback (DFB) Diode Lasers are fixed wavelength single mode diode lasers. Typical geometrical sizes of the laser chip are 1000µm x 500µm x 200µm (length x width x height). The laser chip is grown by MOVPE of compound semiconductor material. The optical gain is provided by double heterostructure which include several Quantum Wells for electronic confinement. Typcal emitter width range between 3µm and 7µm. The single mode emission is enforced by a Bragg grating with the laser chip. The surfaces of the laser chip act as cavity mirrors due to the difference of the refractive index of the laser material and the surrounding air. The rear facet of the laser chip is provided with a high reflection coating. The front facet of the laser chip is provided with a high quality antireflection coating for avoiding the Fabry Perot modes of the laser chip. Distributed Feedback (DFB) Diode Lasers are available at almost any wavelength between 760nm and 2800nm.

PureBeam Laser:
StockerYale's PureBeam laser is a temperature-stabilized, fiber-coupled device for a wide range of biomedical, medical, and industrial applications. This high-output power laser has integrated drive electronics and laser-welded mechanical components. The PureBeam laser features a single-mode optical fiber delivery system, and provides exceptional power stability and low noise at the fiber exit. In addition, the unit is temperature-stabilized with a thermoelectric cooler that maintains a constant laser diode temperature, resulting in excellent wavelength and output power stabilities, as well as a long lifetime. All models emit diffraction-limited circular beams with no astigmatism and have a high pointing stability.
For applications requiring uniform flat-top illumination, the PureBeam laser can be easily integrated with our Flat-Top² Generator, an innovative beam shaping module that converts a gaussian beam to flat-top square or rectangular profile.

Fiber coupled arrays feature high brightness fiber coupling, small footprint and very high power in passively cooled packages. They deliver 25W to 120W of laser power through 0.22 NA multimode optical fibers with 100µm to 600µm core.
An integrated optical design, the accurate test and selection of semiconductor materials and the efficient thermal management make these devices the ideal choice for applications requiring reliability, long lifetime and simple passive cooling in a small footprint.
