The S4100T Intelligent Sensor is a highly reliable, self-contained, microprocessor-controlled hydrogen sulphide professional transmitter with integral 3 digit readout. It is designed to measure and display concentrations of H2S in the 0-20 ppm, 0-50 ppm or 0-100 ppm range, but will continue to display concentrations up to 120% FSD. The sensing element may be incorporated in the transmitter housing or remotely mounted at distances of 600 meters. The sensor employs thin film metal oxide semiconductor (TFMOS) technology as the measuring principle.
SIMTRONICS “TT63ES” detector is a semi-conductor sensor type with a very low cross sensitivity to other gas.
The basic principle is the resistance variation of a tin oxide semi-conductor. The inflammable gas reacts with the oxygen absorbed at the surface of the semi-conductor, and causes the electric resistance to decrease. The nature of the semi-conductor, its doping and its service temperature contribute to better detectivity of certain gases.
When other semiconductor on the market need to smell gas every week to avoid the sensor to fall asleep, the SIMTRONICSsemiconductor sensor only needs a six-month or one year calibration test.
Modern electronics provides high performance for humidity and temperature rate compensation and long term stability. The circuits ensuring the supply to the sensor, the professional amplifier and the interface are grouped in the flameproof enclosure onto which the detection probe is secured.
