Our disc brakes are designed to operate in the most arduous conditions, typically in the steel industry where the operating environment is extreme, and the container industry where reliable operation all year round is expected.
Twiflex brakes are often specified for the main hoist, acting as service brakes mounted on the input shaft and as emergency brakes mounted on the output shaft or directly on the main drum

The following calipers give various examples of the "spring applied, hydraulically released" brake range. Often described as "Safety brakes" these units are typically installed and controlled as automatic safety devices on such machines as escalators, elevators, conveyors, mine winders and cranes.
Options include; adjustable torque control, automatic pad wear adjustment, monitoring devices, discs, hubs, hydraulic power supplies and pedestal mounting kits.

RINGSPANN- Disc Brakes can be used for various functions, i.e.
as a parking brake it prevents the unintended start of a stationary shaft;
as a stopping brake it brings a rotating shaft to a standstill in a short time, even when this is only in connection with a power failure or emergency stop;
as a control brake it maintains a certain tension in the material.
Brake callipers or brake saddles may be arranged in any position on disc brakes of varying diameters. By using several brake callipers on the same disc it is possible to increase the brake torque without the need to enlarge the installation dimensions to any great extend. All brakes are available with an electric wear indicator and with automatic wear adjustment.

YP series electro-hydraulic disc brakes are high performance products acted on high speed shafts of drive mechanism, which have advanced function such as automatic shoe clearance balancing and lining automatic wear compensation. The brakes in service are basically free of maintenance. Meanwhile, various limit switches can be equipped to provide the main machinery with necessary interlocking protection signals. Therefore, if fits very well for mechanism deceleration and stop/braking of various large and special handling machinery with high self-control, hoisting and metallurgical machinery.

YLZ series wheel brakes are new storm braking devices, directly acted on the wheel to realize storm braking in the function of wheel pressure. They are extensively used for outdoor middle and large cranes, port handling machinery, and construction machinery as storm braking under operational state and as auxiliary storm braking under non-operational state. The brakes are mainly used for passive wheel braking. Together with active wheel on high speed shaft adopting two-step brake, it’s better and more economical to realize full wheel storm braking.
Design features:
●Normal closed design,safe and reliable; disc spring set and hydraulic release.
●With limit swtich the brake can give the interlocking protection.
●Brake lining is made from a non-asbestos hard material,which has high and stable friction performance,not sensitive to water, acid and other environmental agents.
●All fasteners and spindles are made of stainless steel.

Off Highway Vehicle Brakes
SAE Hydraulic “Bolt-on” brakes
Spring-applied, hydraulically released multi-disc brakes with industry standard SAE A, B, C, and D input and output flanges enable these brakes to be "bolted on" to a wide variety of applications. When fully installed making them suitable for harsh working environments and are available in wet and dry versions with static torque ranging from 50 to 1600 Nm (500 to 14,000 lbs. in.). These brakes are frequently used as a parking brake on lift vehicles.
Electromagnetic “Bolt-on” brakes
Spring-applied, electrically released multi-disc static holding brakes, which uses the industry standard SAE mount and NEMA “C” face. Originally designed for battery driven electric vehicles but are used in a wide range of access platform lift applications, these brakes offer high torque in a compact design for electric applications.
Customized integrated hydraulic brakes
Spring-applied brake or brake components can be incorporated into equipment, gearbox, wheel hub, or similar applications. Because each brake solution is custom designed, Matrix can provide compact designs that minimize the overall length of the drive package while still providing the necessary torque for the application. Matrix offers complete brake assemblies or components to meet the particular application requirement.

Ausco is the leader in brakes for construction equipment.
Ausco designed a brake that acts as both the parking brake and the mid-mount bearing. The result was a high-value product that eliminated Deere's reliability concerns with caliper brakes and reduced overall cost.
Ausco also leads the market with innovative products on dozers, mini-dumpers, backhoe loaders, telehandlers, trenchers, pavers, graders, etc. In fact, it is hard to drive by a construction site without spotting at least one piece of equipment that features Ausco brakes.

Ausco invented the spring applied-hydraulically released multi-disc brake in the early 1970s. Today, Ausco remains the leader in spring applied-hydraulically released brakes. Ausco's catalog product offerings include all of the common SAE mounts. Most of our brakes are offered in both wet and dry configurations. Variations on shaft and spline sizes are also a common option. In addition, Ausco offers a number of specialty multi-disc brakes for articulated vehicles, mining shuttle cars, etc.

Hydraulically released spring-applied multi-disc brakes
Applications:
There is a variety of possibilities to use hydraulically released spring-applied multi-disc brakes in the stationary and mobile sector, also combined with hydraulic motors. The brakes can be integrated in the oil circuit of the motor.
When starting the hydraulic motors, the brakes release with oil pressures of 15 - 38 bar. Thereafter the full system pressure up to 320 bar can be connected.
The brakes can be used in wet and dry operation. With failure of the oil pump, an emergency release is possible.
Characteristics:
* Torques from 30 to 500000 Nm (higher torques on request)
* Oil pressure from 15 to 50 bar for releasing, thereafter the system pressure up to 320 bar can be connected
* Application in wet or dry operation possible
* Several friction faces
* Less residual torque in open condition
* Smallest dimensions with high torque
* High heat capacity
* Requiring less maintenance
* Simple handling
* Single and double bearing
* Sealing face wear-resistant and corrosion-proof
* Variety of executions to catalogue D 227
