Marechal Electric manufactures a comprehensive range of both industrial and hazardous-area electrical connectors from 5 to 700A. However given the pressure on costs faced by industry, we are promoting in particular a new concept for our Decontactor sockets. The decontactor has been traditionally used as a general supply socket outlet in various industries up to 250A.
However the decontactor is also switch-rated and thus safe to make and break on load and provide visible isolation. As such a mechanic can disconnect and isolate a motor in seconds without incurring the costs of an electrician. Downtime is reduced with lower labour costs.
With companies looking for every advantage and a relentless drive to reduce costs the decontactor could be the newest concept to help them in pursuit of operating efficiency. Whether it’s a failed motor holding up production, a conveyor that needs to be re-positioned, a mixing vessel for wash down or a fan requiring maintenance there is a decontactor to suit the job offering IP66/67, no access to live parts and proven electrical performance.
We constantly meet plant engineers steeped in the tradition of hard-wiring who then, when presented with the decontactor concept, immediately grasp what a motor connected with a decontactor means in terms of time-saving, cost-saving and enhanced safety.

Switches are used for direct or step connection of DC commutator motors of the nominal voltages of 12 V, 24 V, 36 V and 48 V by a cut-in current up to 500 A and a permanent current up to 80 A, 150 A and 300 A.
The version of the switch holder allows for its direct mounting on the electric motor or on the car body.
Switches are produced in a dustproof version and they are also resistant against splashing water. The permissible operating temperature range is from -20°C to 60°C.

ISP Power
Compact High Output Switch Mode Power Supply
The ISP200 and ISP300 Power Supplies were specially designed to provide high-performance power to inductive loads, such as stepping motors and DC servo motors.
With built-in short circuit, over temperature and over voltage protection, they absorb and modulate inductive current surges and rapid changes in power for more even output power and increased performance.
