The electron-beam cross-linked and non-polluting RADOX® solar cables are extremely robust, highly resistant against heat, cold and weather influ-ences like UV-radiation or ozone and hydrolysis. Additionally, these cables are halogen free, flame retardant, and do not generate corrosive gases or low smoke in case of fire.
RADOX® solar connectors are also equipped with outstanding mechanical properties with high weather resistance and are also halogen free. They are especially characterized by a narrow design and a high current carrying capacity due to a low electrical resistance.
HUBER+SUHNER develop and produce high-grade receptacle systems that are optimally matched to your volume production processes.HUBER+SUHNER supplies completely assembled wiring systems in required lengths or raw cable and connectors with an outdoor assembly kit. Once out of service, RADOX® solar cables can be disposed of according to EU Code EAK 170411 (2001/118/EG), allowing them to be recycled into new raw materials for reuse.

The SEGURFOC-331 (HS+) cable series is made up of flexible single and multi-pole 600/1000 V cables.
The design, construction and testing are compliant with the international standard IEC 60502 and the testing standard EN 50200 (PH-90), withstanding temperatures of 840 ºC for 90 minutes that means they are capable of maintaining the service despite the most extreme fire conditions. Hence they are known as FIRE RESISTANT cables.
These cables must be installed in safety circuits in public places, as per ITC-BT-28. They are essential in detection and alarm circuits, evacuation systems and fire-fighting systems.

Even nowadays, conductors for MV cables to Swiss standards are made of braided round copper wires. The inner and outer cross-linked semiconductor is welded permanently with the XLPE insulation. For EPR insulation, on the other hand, the outer semiconductor is glued.
The screening is formed by the outer semiconductor layer, together with a layer of round copper wires. A suitable screening cross-section is assigned to each conductor cross-section. The copper wire screening is held together by a copper band, also ensuring the electrical cross-connection between the copper wires. Lengthwise water-tightness is guaranteed by embedding the copper sheath in expansion strips.
Protection against corrosion is provided by a halogen-free black outer casing with two lengthwise red stripes.
Three single conductor cables can be braided together to make a triple-conductor or triple-casing cable. If cable laying conditions are difficult, it is also possible to lap the cables with tensile and protective armouring which consists of a layer of galvanised flat steel wires.

Abrasion and tear-resistant jacket. Easier slide.
Reticulating process: The three extruded layers (semi-conductors and insulation) are extruded at the same time in a triple head. The tube is kept under controlled inert gas (N2) pressure to prevent the formation of vacuoles. The temperature profile of the tube is carefully controlled to ensure the correct level of reticulation in the cable core.

Medium Voltage Power Cables up to 30 kV with XLPE-insulation
The XLPE-insulation possesses very good electrical, mechanical and thermal characteristics in medium voltage networks. This type of insulation is excellent chemical resistant and also resistant to cold. Due to various advantages, the XLPEinsulated type has vastly displaced the traditional classical paper insulated types in many sectors.
The XLPE-insulated medium voltage cables are designed with longitudinally water-proof. In comparison to PVC and paper-insulated cables, the advantages of XLPE-insulated medium voltage power cables are possessing a low dielectric factor.
The good properties of XLPE-insulated cables remain constant at a long temperature range. These cables can be laid in earth, in air or in tubes.

Cabelte produces, since 1983, medium voltage cables up to 36 kV. The cables with copper or aluminium conductors can be insulated with cross-linked polyethylene or polyolefin, according to the configurations adequate to the standards requirements and constructive applications demanded for each situation.
Cabelte uses in the insulation production the triple extrusion technique, with inner and outer insulating and semiconducting layers, simultaneously extruded, avoiding this way contamination risks and presence of impurities.

Cabelte began the manufacturing of medium voltage power cables in 1983 for a Project which required the strengthening of internal technical staff and a significant investment with new buildings and equipment for production and testing.
By that time, the range of products included, namely, cables to be used on low voltage power transmission public networks and in some industrial networks.
Throughout the years, new types of cables were developed – with more demanding technical requirements, having different design characteristics and cables for different markets. One should remark, those to be applied on airports, underground railways and wind farms.
The company has been following this evolution and, nowadays, it has a wide range of references covering the different rated voltages, several national and the most important international standards and also particular specifications adopted by some customers. Additional technical requirements may also be considered to comply, for instance, with applications in harsh environment.
In 2005 Cabelte invested in new production machinery allowing to double its capacity for supplying medium voltage cables.

The conductors in Ceander cable are made of copper or aluminium. Round conductors are normally used: single-wire up to 10 mm2 and multi-wire from 16 mm2 upwards. For larger cross-sections (150 + 240 mm2), single-wire sector-form aluminium conductors are also used. The conductor insulation is mainly made of cross-linked EPR.
Protection for people is provided by the concentric outer conductor (PEN conductor), applied in the form of a sinusoidal line. The electrical cross-connection is ensured by a copper band. Protection against corrosion is provided by a halogen-free black outer casing with two lengthwise yellow strips.

Reinforced cables with wires for low voltage power distribution.
Recommended for use in rooms with the risk of fire or explosion thanks to its explosionproof characteristics (ITC-BT-29) and in all places requiring mechanical cable protection or special tensile strength during laying.
The entire range of ARMIGRON-M UNFIRE cables are Non Flame-Propagating as per EN 50266 (corresponding to the international IEC60332-3). Their hydrocarbon resistance property makes them essential in environments in which the cable may undergo chemical attack from this type of compound.
As the 70 mm2 section inclusive, the SECTORFLEX configuration is offered with a flexible sectorial conductor that, with the same electrical properties and the same conventional terminals and accessories as circular cable, provides a lower cable diameter and weight that significantly increases its ease of handling and installation.
Maximum permanently-operating conductor temperature 90 ºC
