The most advanced manipulator
A rigid manipulation principle is often desirable for eccentric handling (loads that can be handled centrically are best manipulated using a flexible or self-suspended principle such as a cable balancer). The most advanced possibility in rigid handling systems is the Master Balancer: because, in this case too, the arms are bare and hollow. So that manoeuvrability is much better than with conventional manipulators which have drive elements and sometimes even ballast weights on the arms, which means that everything moves.
