Roller conveyors consist of a series of rollers attached to a horizontal rigid structure frame. This system of conveyor allows the transport or collection of goods on top of the rollers from one point to another. The goods transported have generally a flat base (pallets, containers, boxes, cartons). A choice between motorised and mechanical rollers are available. There are different set-ups: gravity, curved, line shaft, depending on the application.

The rollers can also be motorised or mechanically run. The mechanically run rollers can be run from one motor or individual motors contained within the rollers.
There are a few conveying technologies that can be combined to form a conveying system: gravity, curved, line shaft.
