Until now, theories from other industries were applied to the manufacturing of silos. For example, a silo for wheat is manufactured with metal walls for strength. Since the weight of a cubic meter of wheat will be considerably heavy, the silo walls should be very rigid. However, a cubic meter of plastic bottles will only weigh 20 kilos, so this silo may be lighter. It may be built with laminated plastic panels instead of mild steel or stainless steel.
The experience that POSIMAT has had with these laminated plastic panels is that the bottles closest to the walls tend to cause the wall to become slightly deformed instead of the metal wall deforming the bottles as was previously believed. The plastic used on these walls is very easy to clean and much more resilient to chemical corrosion than any metal
POSIMAT can also supply a POSISILO built in AISI 304 stainless steel walls that make it hermetically sealed, and allow pressurization of the silo.

Construction For the storage of bulk products, we use silo cells made of profiled panels, which are assembled on site. Prab can supply metal silos to accumulate processed chips in sizes from 500 to 3500 cubic feet. Vertical and Horizontal models are available. O.ME.P.S. SRL has the pleasure to introduce the revolutionary concept of the self-supporting silo semi-trailers to transport powders and granulates: the new CM SIZE 42; it keeps the same dimensions of the famous O.ME.P.S. CM 39 DUMBO, but its capacity has been increased until 42 m3.
Have a look to its new design: the fluid lines and the particular geometric shapes of the shell are the result of a careful study of the aerodynamic flows and each detail has been devised and planned in accordance with the operators’ requirements.
The aim of such a clever solution is to improve the work conditions, the safety and the expediency of the transport on behalf of the third party. The advantage? The CM SIZE 42 silo semi-trailer is intended to make all the travels with a load, so that it can transport powders with different specific weights during both going and back routes.

O.ME.P.S. SRL knows what the customers expect from a tipping silo semi-trailers manufacturer: innovation, quality and economization. For that reason our engineers have designed a new chassis for the tipping silo semi-trailers, creating the new range of the CR Light Liner.
The choice of new aluminium extrusion sections allow to reduce the dead weight of the CR 59 silo semi-trailer, just 6.600 kg and to raise its payload: the chassis has been entirely bolted with special self-braking bolts, the oil tank has been put on the front side of the frame, so that the rear transom supporting the lending legs is lighter during the tipping step.
Moreover the safety for the vehicle stabilization has been improved thanks to the application of a double bolt die on the manual lending legs and a double locking valve on the hydraulic lending legs.
The main characteristics of such a light tipping liner is the lowest barycentre of the loaded semi-trailer and the particular care for the details.

Fluidisation equipment is used as preventive measure. A variety of materials will show perfect mass flow as soon as a certain amount of air is added at regular intervals during discharging of the bin or silo.
At the same time, possible tendencies of the product to bridge, ra-hole,go lumpy or deposit are prevented.

Vibrating Bin Aerator
It is a very simple device made of a rubber membrane, abrasion resistant and self cleaning,
and metal pipe, and is to be mounted against the wall of a silo.
Compressed air (at 2 to 6) bar is blown through the pipe and makes the rubber membrane vibrate against the wall of the silo. At the same time, the blown air fluidizes the dust or powder contained in the silo with a 1 metre radius of effectiveness.

Bulk materials are frequently stored in hoppers and silos. To do different
environemental conditions and divers product caracteristics the discharge
and empting of such hoppers and silos can cause troubles.
On the market different discharge pads are offered. Gericke uses, beside of
its RA Bin Discharger and vibrating Bin Dischargers, aeration nozzles (flow
pad). This nozzles inject the 10 Nm3 air per hour and per nozzle in to the
hopper. By this measure the airflow fluidises the product and cleanes the
inside of the compartment.
The installation of the flow pad is very easy and simple just drill a hole
with diameter 53mm and fix the flow pad with 4 screws.

PROMOTION FLOW MUCON
PROMOTION FLOW is a system making it possible to solve the problems of flow of the products in the hoppers, silos or containers.
Stainless steel grids generally, are introduced into the conical part of the hopper. The crossing nuts and bolts which hold the grid are connected to an external medium where is fixed a pneumatic vibrator.
PROMOTION FLOW makes vibrate the contents and not the hopper.
This direct action on the product makes it possible to fight effectively against the independent factors which support the formation of a vault, a chimney or a segregation of product during the flow.
The grids are carried out to measure and will have a form different according to dimensions from the hopper to equip and the treated products.
Ideal for the products like: Reduce to starch potato, cement, lime, drinking chocolate, flour, clay...
After feasibility study of your application, tests could be realized with a hopper equipped with a Mini Flow Promotion. You will be able to thus note the effectiveness of our apparatus.

Extensometer 178 of Vishay Nobel was especially developed for the applications of level weighing and monitorings on existing or new silos of a few tons to several hundred tons.
Extensometer 178 is a gauge sensor of extensometry which transforms a mechanical deformation of the foot of the silo according to the weight into an electrical signal (mV/V) directly proportional to the load applied to the foot of the silo.
