Solid state relays (SSR) manufactured by the Comus Group of companies are sold around the world. The basic design, with no moving parts, means that solid state relays have an almost unlimited life expectancy compared with electromechanical relays. With no mechanical parts, there is no contact bounce, no sparks and no mechanical wear making solid state relays the natural choice in working environments where these features are important.
SSR's for PCB mounting and chassis mounting are available for AC and DC loads, 1- and 3-phase solutions, as well as module boards are available.
Also available are input and output modules. |

| The new line of 6 series solid-state relays give industrial relay users an energy-efficient current switching alternative. Depending on the application, these solid-state relays offer a number of advantages over electromechanical relays, including longer life cycles, less energy consumption and reduced maintenance costs. This is why great care and attention was given when developing the next generation of “Hockey Puck” style SSRs. These new SSRs will be Finger-safe, fit a pre-cut heat transfer thermal pad (sold separately) and have the ability to be mounted onto a factory tested pre-drilled and tapped heat sink (sold separately). |

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Libratherm offers four channel back to back connected SCR firing cards model SCRF-4 for electrical Heating control using resistive or inductive loads. Normally, the manufacturers of solid state relays are built around triacs and which are available up to the current carrying capacity of maximum 50 to 100Amp @ 230VAC, due to limitations of high PIV as compared to SCRs. hence, for controlling the higher ratings of load, power contactors are used and solid state switching is not easily accomplished. The card SCRF-4, featured here can be used to fire up to 500Amps SCRs. Hence, it is possible to built solid state relay of as high as 500Ampere @ 230VAC or 415 VAC. The input control signal coming from the industrial temperature controller in the range of 3 to 32VDC can be fed to this card to generate the ZERO cross over Gate Cathode pulses G1K1+G2K2 to turn ON the SCR, and the same can be turned off when the input signal is 0VDC. ZERO cross over circuit prevents generation of harmonics while turning the SCR OFF to ON or vice versa.
Using the single card, maximum 4 independent pairs of back to back connected SCRs can be fired in single phase, two phase or three phase in star or delta configuration of loads. User has a choice to select suitable ratings of back to back SCR as per the current demand (with suitably rated heat sinks). Making the solid state relays using this card is more advantageous, since, rapid on/off switching of the order of 1 second is possible, and hence can be operated in PID control mode, when compared to the power contactors. The card SCRF-4 is available in DIN mounting card holder.

Features/Benefits
Current limiting output
Thermal protection
Automatic recovery
Overload protection
Dual output: Two relays in one package
Description
The LPD70 is a dual-output 28Vdc plastic relay with internal thermal protection. The relay utilizes optical isolation to provide excellent input-to-output isolation. The LPD70 offers a current limiting output to protect itself and associated load circuits from transient current overloads. During an overcurrent condition, the LPD70 clamps suppliers the current to a safe operating value. The LPD70 also offers thermal protection. The thermal protection is activated by junction temperature. In case of an overload or shorted load condition, the thermal protection limits the junction temperature. The LPD70 returns to normal operation automatically once the overload is removed.

The SK range for PCB mount is available in 2 cases :
SKA / SKB (AC output) or SKD (DC output).
SKA up to 6A 230 or 400VAC with built-in voltage protection, ideal for solenoid manufacturers or motor control
SKB up to 4A 230 or 400VAC for resistive loads
SKD rated 3A / 60VDC or 1A / 200VDC
SKL for AC output with a ceramic substrate that can be mounted on a heatsink (see picture). The SKL range is ranging from 16A to 75A.
For the power element, our SKL use TMS2 technology (see the Power relay section introduction) reducing thermal stress and considerably
improving life expectancy. Ideal for motor control (I2t up to 5000 A2s) with high inrush current as well as heating application. Easy to protect
against short circuit with micro professional circuit breakers. |

| The 70S2 Series relays are designed for medium-power loads. The design incorporates a triac output for AC loads and MOSFETs for DC loads. The 70S2 Series relays use optical isolation to protect the control from transients. The 70S2 compact package is available in a combination of screw, fast-on or PCB terminals. Its compact size makes it ideal for designs where space is limited. The 70S2 Series relays have excellent thermal performance. |
