In the delivery state (clamping ring barrel) the material is prepared and conditioned for use and transfer to the industrial spray gun. Due to the pneumatic lid lifter, an empty barrel can be replaced easily with a full one. System components:

Indirect Air Motor Drive - Standard duty, smooth running with gear reducer, 1/2hp, 15:1 ratio, 20 to 120 RPM. Inc throttling cock, professional fittings and industrial hoses for connection to air supply on tank lid. Air consumption is approx 6CFM @ 50RPM.

The GBM is conceived as universal professional mixer for powders, fibres granules, liquid injection and reaction.
The GBM mixer includes a single mixing rotor. The mixing paddles are designed for high homogeneity and mixing efficiency. With a comprehensive choice of options, the GBM can be configured for many different processes including reaction mixing.
The mixing paddles rotate with variable speed. Froude numbers between 0.7 and 3.0 are reached. This mixer can therefore work in many different processes and working conditions.

The Silverson AX range of High Shear Rotor/Stator professional mixers is designed to bridge the gap between laboratory scale mixing operations and larger production units. Ideal for pilot plants, research institutes and hospital pharmacies etc., AX models have a capacity of up to 50 litres, depending on product viscosity. A complete range of interchangeable workheads is available, allowing the user to match the unit’s mixing action to their process requirements. All AX range models can be supplied with a spring assisted adjustable bench stand.
The standard Model AXR is powered by a single phase motor, offering variable speed up to a maximum of 3500 rpm. All wetted parts are constructed in grade 316 stainless steel. The unit is finished in a tough, easy to clean, non-chip white nylon coating.
Increased power is offered by the AX3, which can be supplied with a range of 3 phase hoseproof, TEFV or ATEX approved Flameproof motors. With a maximum speed of up to 6000 rpm with an industrial inverter, the higher rotor tip speed makes the AX3 suitable for more heavy-duty applications including particle size reduction.
The AX/AIR is powered by an intrinsically safe manufacturer of air motor, designed for use in flameproof areas. This 0.33 kW unit also offers variable speed up to a maximum of 3000 rpm.
The AXV has an inverted workhead, which draws materials downwards into the workhead from the surface of the mix. This was developed to overcome the problems traditionally experienced with light powders which tend to float or “raft”. The increased surface movement also makes the AXV suitable for some higher viscosity products.

Basically, a rough but well distributed pre-homogenisation is achieved in the makro-mixer, while a perfect homogenisation is realised in the following mikro-mixer. Fluitec CSE-X® industrial mixers are well established and proved for industrial mixing processes of highest demands. Standard CSE-X® mixers consist out of 4 to 12 bars. The professional mixer/heat-exchanger CSE-XR was developed and patented by Fluitec AG. It is the most important invention in the static mixing technology of the last 20 years.
The CSE-XR is mainly used for temperature conditioning of highly viscous liquids at laminar flow. A strongly defined and well controlled homogeneity is guaranteed in any situation as well, as a very narrow residence time distribution. The reason for this excellent performance is its geometry, which is consequently based on the geometry of the most efficient static mixer type, the CES-X.
The very high radial mixing efficiency constantly ensures an intensive flow against the internal heat transferring tubes, thus allowing a
the compact design of this device.
Multitube industrial heat exchangers are often not dedicated for scale-ups. Problems occur mainly in cooling processes at laminar flow conditions, when the product can "freeze" in particular tubes, due to its increased viscosity at lower temperatures. Uncontrolled residence time distribution and maldistribution are thereby leading to a bad process control.
Monotube heat exchangers (tubes with a double shell) can be built much smaller, if using static mixers. The mixing elements are improving the surface renewal rate significantly.
