Turbine Sentry - System Overview
An overview of the complete system and how this system is of benefit to gas turbine operators.
A typical system comprises three parts:
Blade Sentry - Measurement Pyrometer
The non-contact thermometer is mounted through the gas turbine casing and measures the temperatures of individual rotor blades.
Rotor Sentry - Data Acquisition System
The DAS logs individual blade temperature readings taken by the measurement pyrometers, samples and processes the data for use by the data analysis software, Data Sentry.
Data Sentry - Data Analysis Software
This powerful pc-based software utility has all the tools and functions necessary to obtain a complete picture of how efficiently the gas turbine is running, as well as identifying potential problems at an early stage.

A portable sulphuric acid dewpoint monitor (Lancom 200) is designed specifically for plant requiring only periodic monitoring of the sulphuric acid dewpoint temperature for boiler efficiency checks, corrosion protection and evaluation of the effectiveness of corrective measures such as fuel additives and changes in the combustion conditions.
A continuous sulphuric acid dewpoint monitor (Model 440) is permanently installed in order to optimize combustion conditions by maintaining the temperature of the flue gas slightly above the sulphuric acid dewpoint temperature. It can continuously monitor the changes in boiler operation and provide a direct loop input to the boiler's own combustion control system. |

The powerful indicator N1500 offers among its universal input and the 2 relay outputs for the monitoring of the threshold values many other functions. The Min.- and Max.-values can be prompted with just a keystroke. Also there is a Hold and a Peak-Hold Function whose readouts can be deleted using either the function key or the digital input. The high tact frequency of 15 measurements/second (5 measurements/second when using linear input, thermocouples or Pt100) allows the N1500 indicator to monitor fast processes. It offers also the possibility to linearise the measurement signal when using non-linear input signals (mV, V, mA).

The Icon 100 Series Refrigeration Controllers measure, display and control the temperature of refrigerated cases and coldrooms. The Icon 100 Series can read temperatures from up to two thermistor probes (thermostat and defrost probes), and have relay outputs for compressor, defrost, fan and alarm.
