Because just like its big sisters MAXXTURN 65, 95 and 110, the MAXXTURN 45 is also a well high perfect solution for low-cost complete machining off-the-rack. Fitted with a professional counter spindle, driven tools, a high-precision C axis and very fast rapid-motion speeds, the MAXXTURN 45 offers everything the customer needs to manufacture complex turned and milled parts, not only in high quality, but also cost effective. A very special highlight of the new MAXXTURN 45 is the Y axis. It has been integrated into the machine structure and stands on extremely wide-set guide rails. This ensures extreme stiffness and top precision, even when performing difficult cutting tasks. In addition, the MAXXTURN 45 has a Y axis with a very large travel, which also increases the number of machining options when turning and milling. With cutting edge technology and research, i-SECT the Non Circular urning Machine has become the first Indian Machine, specially designed for Aluminium Piston Oval Turning. High dynamics of the machine is achieved by introducing the latest linear motor technology in tandem with SINUMERIK 840 D controller.
Y Axis
The Y axis industrial slide is built with special linear motor for maximum dynamics and accuracy. Since there are no mechanical transmission elements such as ball screw manufacturer or couplings, natural oscillations and the effects of elasticity, backlash and friction are largely avoided and thus achieving acceleration up to 100 m /s2 . These slides are adequately protected from dust environment and maintained under controlled temperature with the help of a separate chiller unit to avoid very high temperatures while operating at high speeds which is required for Non Circular Cutting.
