|
Application field
Fresh water.
Urban and industrial waste water.
Process water.
Operating
Customized
The Optilis water analyser is designed to measure 1 to 12 parameters simultaneously with no need for external devices. The user can define the relevant parameters for his application.
Measurement
Measurement cycles are controlled by time, by flow or by process depending on the type of application. The analyser's data can be exported directly onto a standard spreadsheet such as Excel by using any serial terminal software like hypertherminal (standard windows communication software).
Open system
Parameters can be added to the analyser at any time at the customer's request.
Alarms
When a measurement value exceeds a preset threshold, a command is automatically transmitted towards :
- an alarm system (visual and/or audible alarms),
- a remote supervisor,
- a sampling unit (sample corresponding to the alarm level),
- a pump (reagent addition monitoring),
- an electrovalve.
No clogging
The pump flow (150L/h) and tube diameter (10mm), avoid any risk of sytem clogging with no prior filtration even with highly concentrated waters. A self-cleaning system completes this device.
Limited low maintenance
The Optilis is a completely automatic device. It can operate idependently on site with no intervention for several weeks and without reagent. |

VARiON Plus – Ion-selective measurement of Ammonium and Nitrate
with automatic compensation
WTW’s new highly variable ionic sensor VARiON Plus allows:
• The continuous measurement of ammonium and nitrate with dynamic compensation by auxiliary ion-selective potassium or chloride electrodes.
• A further available slot can be used for an additional measuring electrode – this allows to measure ammonium and nitrate with one sensor (2 in 1).
No calibration required! Instead, the sensor comes manufacturer-calibrated and uses long-term stable electrodes.
Low purchase and operating costs! Utmost stability of the electrodes doubles the lifespan of minimizing the operating costs. Additionally, the calibration work and the additional costs for calibration standards is ommitted.
The advantages of the new VARiON Plus system are obvious: This calibration free combination sensor can measure both Ammonium and Nitrate simultaneously. Due to low investment and operating costs, it is a highly cost-effective solution for a reliable 24 hours measurement directly in the process.

Ever more stringent legislative regulations witin the water and wastewater industry are placing increased demands on process orientated system technology. Especially in the wastewater treatment the on-line measurement of Nitrogen and Phosphorus parameters play an important role because of continuous monitoring and optimization of the performance of a biological purification process.
WTW’s answer is the multiparameter system TresCon.
TresCon is a modular analysis system for continuous measurement of analytical parameters like e.g. Ammonium, Nitrite, Nitrate / SAC, total Nitrogene or Phosphate and total Phosphate. This system based on a central controller and one or several autonomous modules is built up on a functional structure which constitutes a "analytical platform" of highest flexibility.
Due to this modularity this system assures a continuous and very reliable operation which constitutes a new dimension with respect to performance, flexibility, reliability and cost efficiency. Additional analyzer modules and parameters are easily accomplished by the user

| ”On-site” means measuring Ammonium and Phosphate in the tank. The main advantage is that short sample paths give quick, undistorted results. This is the idea behind the new digital analyser generation from HACH LANGE—AMTAX sc and PHOSPHAX sc. The concept is a practical, logical extension of the proven AMTAX and PHOSPHAX series. It combines all the advantages: the high precision of an analyser and the simplicity of a probe. |

Orion Calcium Hardness Monitor
The Orion 1820 Calcium Hardness monitor is one of a series of microprocessor-based analyzers designed to measure trace ion levels in relatively pure water continously. The Orion 1820 has been specifically designed to operate in the effluent of a zeolite exchanger in a water softening system.
The Orion 1820 Calcium Hardness monitor is one of a series of microprocessor-based analyzers designed to measure trace ion levels in relatively pure water continously. A unique system for pH adjustment eliminates the need for expensive reagents and frequent maintenance. Instrument calibration is quick, simple, highly reliable and accurate using a simple pipet. A temperature sensor, immersed in the sample, monitors sample temperature and is used for automatic temperature compensation. A signal conditioner offers the choice between linear and logarithmic concentration output. Since the Orion 1820 has been designed with few moving parts, it requires little maintenance and is extremely reliable.
Orion 1820 Calcium Hardness Monitor, Double known addition calibration technique, complete with calcium electrode (100049), reference electrode (100056), temperature sensor (181127), standard solutions kit (182040), signal output module (180001), and one instruction manual. | Thermo Scientific's series of portable gas detection instruments use several types of detectors, including catalytic oxidation for hydrocarbon detection and electrochemical for toxic gases and oxygen. It should be noted that all detectors can experience extreme loss of sensitivity if exposed to certain materials (for instance, silicone for the catalytic detector). The instrument should always be checked if exposed to extreme concentration, suspected poisons, or contaminants. |
