CTV-F2
Cooling Tower Vacuum Filter
Overview
The CTV-F2 Filtration System is specifically designed to work with Goodway's popular
CTV-1500 Cooling Tower Vacuum. In situations where the cooling tower water needs to be cleaned, filtered and returned to the basin, using the CTV-F2 in conjunction with the
CTV-1500 is the only way to go. This carefully engineered unit can handle the high flow and small micron filtration requirements typically encountered when cleaning cooling towers. A pair of reusable filter cartridges allows the operator to clean cooling tower water down to 5 microns. With quick lock lids, filters can be changed out in a matter of seconds. The integrated dolly enables the user to conveniently place the filters, with the Cooling Tower Vacuum, alongside the basin. Clean, filtered water can then discharged back into the tower basin at up to 50 gallons per minute.
Specs
Input Water Pressure: Maximum 30 PSI
at 50 GPM
Filters: Two reusable synthetic,
40 square foot, 5 and 60 micron media
Dimensions: 38" high x 20" wide x 20" deep Weight: 70 lbs net dry

The PE devices were first sold commercially in 1998. The all-ceramic moving and mating parts of the PE have shown exceptionally low, and even zero wear in high-pressure SWRO brine applications and the material is not susceptible to the pitting and stress corrosion of steel and bronze components in similar applications. The slow rotating PE (1,500 RPM) has proven to be a low maintenance component in commercial desalination plants.
Since the PE transfers energy directly from the brine to the feed without high speed rotating shaft inefficiencies, the PE achieves actual efficiencies of 91 to 95 percent within a broad flow range.
Reduced energy and capital costs mean that for the first time ever it is possible to produce potable water from seawater at a cost below $1 per cubic meter in many locations worldwide.

Customers who need ultrapure water rely on electrodeionization (EDI) from GE Water & Process Technologies. Our EDI system provides key advantages over traditional ion-exchange processes:
- Eliminating expensive and hazardous chemicals used in ion-exchange resin regeneration.
- Reducing energy and operating expenses
- Reducing the facility size requirement
- Helping plants meet ISO 14000 requirements
EDI systems from GE cover many applications including power generation, microelectronics, food and beverage production, and chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Using high-capacity ion exchange membranes, our EDI system removes not only residual salts but also ionizible aqueous species such as carbon dioxide, silica, ammonia and boron.

Reverse osmosis (RO) is used to reduce dissolved solids from feed waters with salinities up to 45,000 ppm TDS (total dissolved solids). Municipalities and industrial facilities are able to use RO permeate as a consistently pure drinking water supply and to transform drinking water to high purity water for industrial use at microelectronics, food and beverage, power, and pharmaceutical facilities. The technology is also very effective at removing bacteria, pyrogens, and organic contaminants.
Reverse osmosis separation technology is used to remove dissolved impurities from water through the use of a semi-permeable membrane. RO involves the reversal of flow through a membrane from a high salinity, or concentrated, solution to the high purity, or "permeate", stream on the opposite side of the membrane. Pressure is used as the driving force for the separation. The applied pressure (P) must be in excess of the osmotic pressure of the dissolved contaminants to allow flow across the membrane.

Controlled Release Coolant Filters
The Baldwin Filters Controlled Release Filters utilize a patented process that allows Supplement Coolant Additives to be released into your cooling system only when heat and coolant flow are present.
Our field tests show that the additives are released at an even rate. This is important because competitors filters can Cdump all the additives at once, potentially overcharging the system, leading to additive drop out.
The other extreme is not releasing enough additives towards the end of a maintenance period, thereby leaving the system vulnerable to cavitation erosion and corrosion.
The Baldwin Design
With the Baldwin Controlled Release products, all coolant is conditioned with coolant additives prior to being filtered. This ensures that no undissolved particles from the chemical mass can enter the system. It also ensures that the flow control orifice cannot be plugged.
Baldwins media is a high-capacity synthetic media designed to trap contaminants and maintain its structure through long service intervals.

System of Extraction and
decantation of Abrasive Muds
SEBA
Eductor continues abrasive deposit for
installations of cutting jet of water:
It is using a particular drain that the abrasive deposit is continuously aspired, in a simultaneous and reliable way, at various places of the basin of cutting and guided towards a container of decantation with one or two Big Bags. The water which runs out by Big Bags is filtered and repompée towards the places of aspiration of the basin of cutting by means of a system of washing to counter-current to guarantee a cycle of aspiration. The fine sands deposited in the tank Re-are also pumped in the basin of cutting. Doors simplify the withdrawal of Big Bags filled.
Advantages:
Better profitability thanks to a reliable process and with a reduction of the expenses of evacuation of the deposit.
Process of aspiration and washing with completely automatic counter-current.
High rate of decantation thanks to the use of second Big Bag.
Return of water filtered to the basin of cutting.
Possible process of decantation until a distance of 5 m of the basin of cutting.
Extension simplified for static basins of cutting until 2x3 m2
Volume of evacuation decreased thanks to the deposit drying oven.
Handling facilitated for an effective transport of Big-Bags
