Rubber hardness gauge. This SHORE hardness gauge is used for measuring the hardness of types of rubber, elastomers and plastic and similar materials. It is available in two versions, A and D: version A is normally used for softer materials while D is for materials that exceed 90 out of 100 on the A scale. Measurement is based on the penetration of a point resting on the specimen when pressed in a standard manner and at a standard force.
- Point in hardened and ground steel; dimensions, travel and characteristics strictly as per ASTM and DIN.
- Larger threaded connector for adaptation to the support, if required.
- Circular base for perfect contact with the test specimen.
