Brugg offers a complete range of transition joint solutions for voltage systems from 145 kV up to 300 kV. The joint is particularly conceived for the interconnection between single core low-pressure oil filled cables with design pressure up to 10 bars with all types of polymeric cables. Solutions for three core cables are possible under special request. For easier assembly on site paper insulation main components are being prefabricated in our factory. Thanks to its robust construction of the outer protection with stainless steal water diffusion barrier and protection box with filling compound the TOS joint is adequate to all kind of installation conditions including directly buried. The joints are type tested according to the international standards IEC 660141-1. For the long-term reliability each unit of silicone body for the polymeric cable side are electrically routine tested in our factory.
