The adapters provide a transition from one method of sealing to another. The feature of these adapters is that the geometries at each end of any component are different. This is more than a change in size within a particular sealing method. The conical reducing adaptor which is flange to flange adapter fittings used as a transitions between two the same flange type or two different type flange but different size.
