The KX 160 TWIN is best suited for high and series production of gears with high quality requirements. The machine concept consists of two identical workpiece spindles which are mounted on a circular table opposite each other. The grinding of one workpiece takes place simultaneous to loading / unloading and dressing of another workpiece on the second spindle. This reduces ancillary times to a minimum. External, spur and helical gears can be processed with maximum efficiency.
The optional measuring unit allows the measuring of the profile form and tooth width.
The machine concept is optimized for automated loading using a standard, cost-conscious combination of pallet transport band, and gantry. Other automation concepts such as pallet systems or robot loading can also be integrated.
