Description

Product Overview
This recessed under-leveler vertical barrier restraint (VBR-600) secures trailers to loading docks by engaging RIGs / ICC bars and provides a clean dock face when stored. Designed primarily for live-loading applications, the restraint maintains continuous upward force on the RIGs to accommodate trailer bed height fluctuations during loading and uses automatic re-fire technology to keep contact as the RIGs float. The recessed design allows access for specialty trailers and lift-gates without equipment interference and is ideal for efficient snow removal on the drive approach.

Key Features
  • Recessed under-leveler design provides a clean dock face when stored and facilitates snow/drive-approach clean-up.
  • Engages RIGs / ICC bars to secure trailers to loading docks; continuous upward force maintains engagement during live loading.
  • Automatic re-fire technology restores contact if vertical barrier momentarily loses contact with the RIG.
  • Exclusive magnetic-resistive (mag res) switch for stable, constant engagement communication (mag res switch resists coming out of adjustment).
  • Exclusive barrier design: 4.25" high barrier with reverse taper to provide wide coverage on RIGs.
  • Positive engagement notification: truck presence bar depresses on engagement to signal safe engagement to inside dock attendants.
  • Leveler integration: single power unit allows combined operation of restraint and hydraulic leveler; biodegradable fluid option available.
  • Durability: zinc-plated finish and front-seal brush help prevent debris ingress into the restraint pit for all-weather reliability.

Benefits
  • Allows lift-gate and specialty trailer access without equipment interference while maintaining trailer security.
  • Helps prevent trailer separation accidents including trailer creep (dock walk), early departure, trailer pop-up/up-ending, and landing gear collapse.
  • Integrates with Dok-Lok style light communication and dock-control systems to indicate safe engagement status to personnel inside the dock.
  • Can be connected to digital/connected capabilities to provide real-time alerts, usage analytics and maintenance insights (connected platform subscription required for digital services).
  • Designed and installed to industry benchmarks for pull-out force and mounting force to help ensure safe application per completed site surveys.

Applications and Use Cases
  • Live-loading operations where the trailer remains connected to the cab and vertical restraint pressure is needed.
  • Facilities operating in winter or areas requiring frequent snow removal on the drive approach (recessed design keeps dock face clean).
  • Loading docks requiring integrated leveler/restraint combined operation for simplified control and installation.

Installation & Integrity
  • Completed dock survey required for each dock position to ensure safe and proper application and fitment of the Dok-Lok style restraints for non-standard dock configurations.
  • Installed with mounting force in excess of 100,000 lbs (mounting benchmark) and engineered pull-out force benchmarks to meet facility load/security needs.

Warranty & Certification
  • Standard warranty: 1 year parts / 1 year labor.
  • Extended warranty option: 2 year parts / 1 year labor (includes connected capabilities option where offered).
  • Certified to meet and exceed ANSI MH30.3 performance testing standards.
