Underwater pelletizers are integrated into an extrusion line for the purpose of producing plastic granules.

Applications

These devices are used in plastics manufacturing for the production of cylindrical pellets.

Technologies

Such machines are installed at the end of extrusion lines producing very thin plastic strands. The molten material is led across an inclined plate where it is cooled by a water spray. The pelletizer then cuts the strands into pieces measuring two to six millimeters. The pellets are carried out by the flow of water and dried.

How to choose

Choice of the best pelletizer for your needs will depend on the output, measured in kilograms per hour, the size of the opening, the number of strands and the nature of the material to be treated.
