The REA 103 extension module operates as additional light-detecting module in the REA arc fault protection system. Scope • Extend the arc detection zone of the main REA101 module with additional sensors Product benefits • Extends the arc flash detection area by two fiber sensors in loop or radial arrangement • Detects light and provides the operator with information about the location of the fault with LED indicators Product features • Two arc light detection sensor inputs • Separate Light-detected signal contact outputs for both sensors, latched if the main REA 101 module simultaneously has detected overcurrent and tripped • Self-supervision monitors the operating voltages and integrity of the sensor fiber loops
