The KAVS is a lone check-sync relay for application to feeders upon start up, sub-transmission and distribution systems also applied on all power systems on distribution to voltage transmissions. With a user-friendly interface, KAVS can be integrated into an overall protection and control system via its integral serial communications facility. It also makes sure that the voltage, phase angle and frequency is in safe and in a close levels. KAVS provides the check synchronizing or dead line/bus interlocks required for some auto-re-close applications, as well as split system detection. It also checks synchronization for manual re-connection following a system split.
