Description

Measurement of compression force following standard ISO 11979-3 appendix A The IOL, in an uncompressed state, is placed between 2 horizontal HDPE anvils. The section is immersed in a solution kept at in situ conditions. The anvils are then coaxially closed to the prescribed diameter*. The movement of the optic body is not restricted. After stabilisation, the compression force exerted on the haptics is measured to within a tolerance of ±0.01mN.
