The Wiretest 3 is a motorized tensile testing machine that controls the strength of cables and cable terminals. This tensile testing machine allows to apply a force at constant speed which guarantees a high repeatability of the tests, without being influenced by the operator. The cable is placed in the lower jaw and the lug in the upper carousel. Pressing the START button starts the test. Wiretest 3 moves in tension until it reaches a predefined force or breakage (force drop). During the test, the force and displacement value appears on the Drivepack touch screen and it is even possible to see the test curve. If you wish to program more complete test sequences and perform other tensile tests, we recommend that you use the Califort control software.
