OverviewThe Triplemag electropermanent magnetic modules provide bi-directional adhesion, clamping both the workpiece and the module to the machine table for milling, turning and general machining tasks.
Applications- Milling (roughing and finishing)
- Turning
- Drilling
- Sawing, welding, assembly and other clamping operations
Technical data (summary)Model — Dimensions [L x W x H] — Number of poles — Weight
TM 503 — 220 x 180 x 55 mm — 2 x 4 + 1 x 2 — 12 kg
TM 505 — 340 x 100 x 55 mm — 2 x 4 + 1 x 2 — 13 kg
DescriptionTriplemag EPM modules include separately switchable positioning magnets to ensure repeatable placement on the machine table. Pole extensions compensate for uneven workpieces and permit plane-parallelism up to 0.01 mm. The solid-steel surface increases resistance to hot chips and coolant compared with epoxy-coated plates. Multiple modules can be linked to clamp larger parts. In case of power loss or control-line failure the modules retain full holding force; two-button operation on the controller and cable remote prevents accidental release.
Professional advantages- Bi-directional magnetic adhesion (both sides)
- Separately activated positioning/holding magnets
- Expandable: multiple modules combinable and controllable for large parts
- Reduced setup times and fast positioning for 5-sided machining
- Low vibration during milling and even distribution of holding force
- Pole extensions enable plane-parallelism up to 0.01 mm
- Distortion-free clamping of uneven raw parts using fixed and mobile pole extensions
- No need for under-supports
- High resistance to chips and coolant due to solid steel body
