Overview
The TUBA 1'' tubular float level switch is a small-diameter float sensor designed for level detection in tanks, cisterns and small vessels with restricted access. Its Ø29 mm profile allows insertion through narrow side openings while providing a reliable mechanical switching action. Installation depth up to 55 m and multiple mounting options make it suited to confined industrial and utility applications.

Operating principle
The tubular float rises and falls with the liquid level. When the float reaches the set level it tilts, actuating an internal mechanical switch (COM, NO, NC) to open or close an electrical circuit. The device features a switching angle of approximately +/-20° for precise actuation.

Operating modes

• Drain mode: float triggers pump stop/start at a high-position setpoint to prevent overflow and cuts power at empty-tank condition.
• Fill mode: float closes the circuit at the low-position setpoint (NC) to start filling the tank.
• Two-point control: pair with a second float to regulate minimum and maximum levels.

Installation and adjustment
The float can be suspended on its cable with external ballast, fixed to a rod, or mounted horizontally on tank walls using a cable gland. Ballast position on the cable adjusts the switching point. Ensure the junction box and cable entries remain outside the liquid and are made watertight. Cable length can be factory-specified to reduce onsite splices.
