Description

Overview For optimum level measuring with water, water-based media, oils, oil-based media, coolants and powdery media Deposits and foam are largely suppressed; splashes, air bubbles and wave movements can be largely suppressed by adjustment 2x programmable normally open/ normally closed Parameterisation only via IO-Link Description The AF005 binary level sensor with G1/2 A process connection and IP68 / IP69K protection ratings is suitable for limit detection of water and water-based media, oils, oil-based media, coolants and powder-type media (pre-set for water-based media). A particular feature of the special sensor principle is its capacity to suppress the effects of adhesion and foam formation. The AF005 has two programmable switching outputs (normally open / normally closed) that can be parametrized via the digital IO-Link communication interface. The process connection is achieved via a welding adapter. The device is mounted on the front and therefore predestined for point level monitoring in tanks and containers. You will find a mounting example in our know-how section. The device is factory pre-set for water and water-based media. Foam and adhering material are largely masked out. The factory setting is quite sufficient in many cases. To deal with specific demands, the sensitivity and other functions can be adjusted / parametrized for the application in question. For instance, the effects of splashing, wave effects and air bubbles can be masked out by setting a switching delay. In addition, the process temperature can be measured at the probe tip.
