Description

This Screw Lift is designed to lift vertically a Dinex Drum from a low level loading position to a height of 2250mm. The Screw Lift was manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel and is a welded construction throughout. The lifting is achieved by a ball screw driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the main column. The Armoloy coated ball screw and other column internals were covered from sight by a PU belt to aid cleaning. The Screw Lift was a mobile version to allow access within the process room for cleaning. The Screw Lift also incorporated a load arrestor mechanism, which prevents the load from falling to the floor in the event of a ball screw failure. The Load arrestor was mild steel, but encased in a stainless steel housing. Screw Lift Electrical Control This Screw Lift is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the main column at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). The Screw Lift has ‘hold to run’ control such that the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ pushbuttons must be held for the Screw Lift to operate. As soon as the button is released, the Screw Lift will stop. The control panel has the facility for a ‘Call to Run’ signal to be connected if required.
