Supplementary Equipotential Bonding Conductor.
The supplementary equipotential bonding SEB30/SEB60 is intended for use in locations or rooms of group 1 and 2 in hospitals, clinics, medical and dental practices and in all environments, wherever they may be in which electro-medical devices with parts applied to the patient are used.
According to IEC/HD 60364-7-710, an individual additional equipotential bonding must be installed between all conductive parts and the patient environment.
The function of the equipotential bonding conductor is to galvanically connect all conductive parts and external conductive parts that are present in the patient environment or could penetrate it. In this way, if a conductive part malfunction occurs, all conductive parts will have the same potential and the patient, who may come into contact with two or more conductive parts, is not exposed to hazardous currents.
