Description

Overview
The ISOMETER® iso685-…-P is an insulation monitoring device for ungrounded (IT) systems in accordance with IEC 61557-8 and IEC 61557-9. Universally applicable in AC, 3(N)AC, AC/DC and DC systems; suitable where AC systems contain DC-fed components (rectifiers, inverters, variable-speed drives).

  • iso685-S-P: No display or local controls; intended for use with FP200 front panel.
  • iso685W-S-P: S variant with option W for harsh environments (used with FP200W).


Variant details
  • D variants: direct operation via device front panel; graphical isoGraph trend display available.
  • S variants: operated via FP200/FP200W front panel; suitable when remote panel mounting is required.
  • Option W: extended temperature range and mechanical protection (examples: -40…+70°C, designations 3K23 / 3M12).

  • Two separately adjustable response ranges (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2): 1 kΩ…10 MΩ

  • Analog outputs proportional to measured insulation (0(4)…20 mA, 0…400 μA, 0…10 V, 2…10 V galvanically separated)
  • Freely programmable digital inputs/outputs and customer-specific channel texts


EDS44x — insulation fault locators (selected)
  • Supports selective insulation fault location in AC, 3AC and DC IT systems
  • Up to 12 measuring current transformers (CTAC, WR, WS series) connectable
  • EDS440 locating sensitivity: 2…10 mA; EDS441 locating sensitivity: 0.2…1 mA
  • Communication between components via BS (RS-485) or BB bus
