Overview
The BMair Protector Plus X is a modular expansion combining high-efficiency dust filtration (BMair Protector) with dedicated gas and vapour removal (Plus X). Designed for roof mounting on construction and earthmoving machines, it can be supplied as separate modules or as a fully integrated dust-plus-carbon package to enhance operator protection.

How it works
Air is first filtered by the BMair Protector to remove dust particles. Once dust is eliminated, air passes through the Plus X module containing an 11 kg activated carbon bed that adsorbs gases and vapours. The system enforces a forced flow through the carbon to ensure uniform distribution across the media and optimal filtration performance.

Modular design
The solution is modular: the BMair Protector functions as a standalone dust filter and can be upgraded by adding the Plus X gas-filter module. Modules are available separately or as a combined unit for integrated installation (for example, roof mounting on cabins). A second gas-module variant (Plus Y) for deck or fender mounting is planned for later in 2026.

BMair Connect (control & monitoring)
BMair Connect automates system operation and issues alerts for events such as pressure loss or detected gases in the cabin. It provides 24/7 online access via a real-time portal to controller data, including filter life status, historical graphs (including cabin pressure), per-machine filter logs and downloadable inspection certificates.

Smart sensors
Plug-and-play sensors monitor cabin air where activated carbon is installed to detect filter breach or gas ingress. Supported sensor types include VOC, NH3 and CO2. Sensors connect to the BMair Connect unit and are auto-detected; data is immediately available in the online portal.
