Description

Overview
The BOMAG BC 573 RB-3 refuse compactor is engineered for distribution and compaction of landfill waste. The revised machine concept combines a quad‑pump drive, hydraulically actuated engine hood and high air intake to maximise machine availability and service access while ensuring effective compaction on mixed waste sites.

Applications
Distribution and compaction of municipal, industrial and special waste at landfill sites. Available in rake/blade configuration RB or shovel configuration RS. Suitable for primary spreading, levelling and final compaction operations.

Key benefits / Features
  • Traction and uniform compaction — oscillating articulated joint with +/-15° maintains constant ground contact for homogeneous compaction and high traction.
  • Wheel cleaning system — adjustable scrapers and cable cutters in front of and behind each wheel prevent material build-up and reduce daily cleaning time.
  • High availability — high air intake combined with reversible airflow minimizes clogging and cleaning needs.
  • Serviceability — one-piece engine hood and left/right platforms provide straightforward access to engine and components.
  • Durable compaction wheels — polygonal compaction wheels and premium wear-resistant options improve homogenisation and traction; premium wheels available with wear warranty.
  • Operator environment — ROPS/FOPS cab with noise insulation, automatic heating/air conditioning, vibration-insulated suspension and ergonomically arranged controls including joystick steering and display instruments.
  • Fleet management ready — telematics option for machine monitoring and uptime optimisation.
