The interchangeable sieves are available in mesh sizes of 0.5 mm to 5 mm, with other sizes being available on request. As well as being easy to use, the knife mill is also incredibly easy to maintain thanks to its interchangeable blades. And in comparison to other mills, the level of cleaning required after use is also low, as effective sealing ensures a considerable reduction in the amount of dust that escapes. Principle The material is fed into the rotary mill’s milling chamber via a feed funnel. It is then dosed via a slider on the funnel’s outlet. The mill’s interior features four fixed blades made from a special steel. The rotor fixed to the motor shaft is fitted with six interchangeable, adjustable blades, whose cutting edges work against those of the fixed blades, shredding the material. The shredded material then falls through the sieve into the collection container. All residues are milled further, until the desired degree of fineness has been achieved.
