Short descriptionThe drill head for carcass sampling has a hexagonal socket for bit holders or chucks, suitable for all commonly used cordless screwdrivers or drilling machines. Meat sampler for microbiological sampling of carcass surfaces. The sharp cutting edge made of stainless steel makes it easy to cut out sample pieces. A hole in the crown prevents air compression and is used to eject the samples. The samplers are easy to sterilise (e.g. by flaming or steam sterilisation).
Standards & UseFor sampling in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17604:2015-12. Used for microbiological examinations of carcasses (cattle, hogs, sheep, goats, horses, etc.) as part of slaughter hygiene monitoring. The samplers can be used in the punch/excision process (destructive cork drill process) to remove a circular sample of tissue (approx. 5 cm²) from the surface. After cutting out the punch sample, it is removed with a scalpel and tweezers.
