Description

Overview
BWF Envirotec designs Pulse-Jet filter bags to match the specific requirements of industrial dust removal processes. Filter bags are produced in needle felt and glass fibre media and are intended for use in baghouses where particulate-laden gas flows from the outside to the inside of the filter element, forming a filter cake that is periodically removed by a pulse of compressed air.

How they work (baghouse application)
Pulse-Jet filter bags are installed in baghouses composed of one or more chambers. Each chamber contains multiple rows of filter bags, each stabilised by a support basket and attached to a head plate. The gas passes from outside to inside through the filter medium and deposits dust on the outer surface. When the dust cake increases pressure drop, cleaning cycles use reverse-directed compressed-air pulses to dislodge the cake, which falls and is discharged through a funnel.

Designs at a glance
  • Head options: snap ring, cord head, ring head or cut-edge head; separate or integrated top; head mounting piece with reinforcements and grounding wire.
  • Bag body: designs for improved stability, with stiffening rings available for cageless constructions.
  • Seam options: sewn or welded seams, optional PTFE seam seal for lowest emissions.
  • Bottom construction: reinforced floor covering or double-layered bottom for mechanical robustness and extended service life.

Key product benefits & capabilities
BWF Envirotec selects the optimum filter medium and bag design for each installation to minimise pressure loss, improve cleaning performance and extend service life. The product range and engineering expertise support energy-efficient dedusting and compliance with strict emission limits.

Technical characteristics / specifications
  • Filter media: needle felt and glass fibre fabrics (selection depends on application and process conditions).
  • Head designs: snap ring, cord head, ring head, cut edge head; separate or integrated top; reinforced head mounting and grounding wire options.
  • Seams: sewn, welded; optional PTFE seam seal for lowest emissions.
  • Bag stability: stiffening rings for cageless designs; support baskets where applicable.
  • Flow direction: gas flows from outside to inside of the filter element.
  • Cleaning method: periodic reverse pulse of compressed air directed against the airflow (pulse-jet).
  • Bottom options: reinforced floor covering and double-layered bottoms for mechanical robustness.
  • Intended installation: multi-chamber baghouses with multiple rows of Pulse-Jet bags.
  • Design goal: minimise pressure loss, maximise cleaning efficiency and extend service life.
