Overview
Designed in partnership between Carr Lane Manufacturing and Martin Trunnion Tables, the Quick-Change Trunnion Table converts a standard 3-axis vertical machining center into a 3+1 or 3+2 system for multi-side machining of prismatic parts in a single setup. This fixture platform improves precision, reduces handling time, and increases spindle utilization for high-mix production environments.

Double-Sided Configuration
Double-sided trunnion tables include two fixture plates, allowing fixtures on opposing faces for increased part density or back-to-back operations. Both faces use Headless Carr Lock® Clamps for rapid exchanges with vises or dedicated fixtures, enabling fixture swaps in under one minute while maintaining ±0.001 inch (±0.025 mm) repeatability. Operators can load and unload parts offline while machining continues, maximizing spindle uptime. When paired with a tool probe and M-code macro, repeatability can be reduced to the micron level.

Construction & Accuracy
Each table is precision-machined from Class 35 cast iron for superior vibration damping and thermal stability. Table flatness and squareness are held within 0.001 inch (0.025 mm). Outboard support alignment is maintained within 0.0002 inch (0.005 mm) of the rotary centerline to ensure stiffness under heavy or off-center loads.

Installation & Use
Supplied with a defined height to the 4th-axis centerline (typical 6.000 in). Alternate heights are available via risers, shims, or special order. A compatible 4th-axis rotary table is required for operation.
