OverviewThe CHP-100G pushes the limits of portable milling bevelling. Developed for demanding industrial applications, it produces large bevels with precision, stability and a uniform machined finish, even when removing particularly large volumes of material.
Product conceptThe CHP-100G combines CEVISA’s experience in automatic bevelling with an exceptionally robust construction. The machine travels along the plate and performs controlled machining, reducing the need to handle heavy workpieces and avoiding occupation of other production equipment for edge preparation. The prototype was tested under real shipyard production conditions on thick aluminium plates and steep bevel angles; bevels up to 100 mm wide were achieved in two passes.
Advantages- High machining capacity: designed for weld preparations requiring removal of large volumes of material.
- Wide bevels: capable of handling applications beyond the usual capacity of portable bevelling machines.
- Machined finish: uniform and precise bevels, ready for demanding welding processes.
- High stability: robust construction to maintain consistent machining even on large-section applications.
- Automatic process: the machine travels along the plate, reducing continuous operator intervention.
- Cold machining: no thermal processes that unnecessarily affect material properties.
- Reduced handling of large plates: machining is performed directly on the workpiece.
- Greater availability of other equipment: edge preparation can be carried out without occupying cutting tables or other production equipment.
- Developed for demanding industrial applications: suitable for sectors working with thick plates and large weld preparations.
