The chassis is designed for mounting on VOX-FP-ST racks. Design features of the concept is splicing and cross-connect switching of optical fibers in pivoting cross-connect modules, combined in distribution fame chassis. Space for laying optical fibers and arranging connectors (up to 24 SC or LC) is provided in the module. The modules are arranged horizontally in assembled condition but frontally arranged connectors are closed by front wall of the module. A convenient access to connectors and pigtails is ensured at pivoting the module. The module is drawn-off freely from the chassis for installation thanks to the provision for optical fiber length in the carrier pipes. 12 distribution frame chassis for 4 cross-connect modules or 9 distribution frame chassis for 6 cross-connect modules can be installed in the VOX-FP-ST rack.
