Product overview
The sealing elements KDS-DE-RAIL (small) and KDS-DEG-RAIL (large) are the core components of CONTA-CLIP railway-certified cable entry systems. Manufactured from a special TPE approved to DIN EN 45545-2 (HL3), they are designed for safety, fire performance and reliable operation in rail vehicles.

Design & installation
The conical shape enables tool-free insertion into cable gland openings while providing reliable sealing of gaps and static strain relief in accordance with DIN EN 62444. Split sealing elements feature an intelligent corrugated cut that allows very easy installation and a precise fit around cables, including pre-assembled connectors.

Range & flexibility

• Small sealing elements (KDS-DE-RAIL): cable diameter range 1.5–16 mm
• Large sealing elements (KDS-DEG-RAIL): cable diameter range 12–35 mm
• Wide selection of sealing elements for various cable diameters and geometries to maintain high packing density
• Unused slots can be securely closed with dedicated blanking elements

Accessories
The KDS BW 1 actuating tool is available to enable easy fitting and removal of the sealing elements from the frame.
