Passive fire protection device KDS-RAIL

OverviewIn addition to the material fire behaviour rating (HL3), railway applications require a verified structural fire barrier at critical transitions, for example between the engine room and passenger compartment. The certified CONTA-CLIP KDS-RAIL fire protection kits for different frame sizes enable achieving fire resistance class E30 (30-minute compartmentalisation) according to DIN EN 45545-3. Each kit includes a precisely fitting intumescent (foaming) fire protection mat, special heat-resistant fixing screws and all installation materials required for assembly.
