Contec is pleased to announce the development of a series of expansion slot addition boxes (6 models) for personal computers. Starting from August 2023, we will begin accepting orders for our new series of computer measurement and control I/O expansion chassis, the "PCI Bus Expansion Chassis ECH-PCI-BE3 Series" (hereinafter referred to as the "new product"). The new product is an expansion chassis that allows you to add PCI bus (5V/32-bit 33MHz) slots to your personal computer. It is connected to the computer via a separate expansion bus adapter, EAD(PCI), EAD(LPCI)BE or EAD-BE-LPE (sold separately). We offer two types of chassis: short size and long size. The short size chassis can accommodate up to 7 PCI cards, while the long size chassis can accommodate up to 13 PCI cards. Additionally, it can turn the power on/off in synchronization with your computer and features a steel chassis with built-in cooling fans, making it suitable for field use. In recent years, there has been a trend towards downsizing personal computers, resulting in a decrease in the number of expansion slots. This has made it difficult to use them for industrial measurement and control applications that require various inputs and outputs. However, with our new product, even compact personal computers with low-profile expansion slots can add an expansion chassis, enabling the use of a wide range of standard-sized measurement, control, and communication expansion cards.
