Sealmaster® Rod Ends and Spherical Plain Bearings Rod ends consist of a threaded housing with an integral spherical plain bearing or a threaded housing formed around a ball. Spherical plain bearings consist of an outer race and hardened spherical ball. Spherical plain bearings provide a similar function as rod ends and require housing support.
