SonoCam Pi is a hand-held acoustic camera array development kit for quick and accurate sound imaging.
With up to 208 MEMS microphones and an array size over 30 cm, it supports both near-field and far-field measurements in a single system, combining mobility and high precision for acoustic testing and analysis.
Typical applications include acoustics laboratory research and testing, mechanical fault and airborne noise detection, visualization of acoustic weak spots and radiating components, and sound quality optimization in automotive and consumer electronics.
Customizable and Replaceable Microphone Array
The microphone array of SonoCam Pi adopts a modular, plug-and-play design and currently offers four array options:
- 30 cm, 208-channel
- 30 cm, 128-channel
- 70 cm, 208-channel
- 110 cm, 208-channel
Users can flexibly choose the most suitable configuration according to their measurement targets.
Optional Far-field Beam-forming or Near-field Holography
SonoCam Pi supports both far-field beamforming and near-field holography within a single system (with the 110 cm, 208-channel array):
- Beamforming frequency range: 200 Hz – 20 kHz
- Holography frequency range: 20 Hz – 20 kHz
Open API for Real-time Waveform Output
SonoCam Pi provides an open API for real-time 208-channel waveform and video output. Users can develop and integrate their own algorithms and applications based on the microphone array and hardware platform, and implement or verify algorithms on a PC using MATLAB.
