Medium and large NC heads for boring and facing applicable on boring machines, machining centers and special machines. U-TRONIC are medium and large-sized NC heads that are connected to the U-axis of the machine tool for operations such as outer facing, inner facing and back-facing, cylindrical and conical boring and threading, as well as concave and convex radiusing through interpolation with the other machine axes. They can be mounted manually, automatically or through palletized systems on boring machines, machining centers and special-purpose machines. The standard range includes six models from Ø360 mm to Ø1000 mm, equipped with internal coolant passage. Special versions – up to Ø1600 mm, with two slides or counterweights for self-balancing – are available upon request. Fixed toolholders can be mounted on the slide, with either manual or automatic tool change options.
