OverviewNAVIS is an automatic quality inspection system for electronic devices combining hardware integration, AI and traceability to perform repeatable, high‑coverage visual inspections. Devices are placed in a dedicated inspection envelope illuminated by high‑power white LEDs to create a uniform, diffuse light field. Multiple cameras capture images from several sides and results are stored and sent to the Factory Information System (FIS) for traceability.
How it worksNAVIS acquires multi‑side images with strategically positioned cameras (fixed or GigE) to ensure full coverage. The enclosed inspection volume and diffuse LED lighting maximise detection stability for surface defects, misalignments and missing components. Image processing and ML models evaluate conformity and log outcomes linked to serial identifiers.
Typical applications- Automotive infotainment units
- Electronic control units (ECUs) and vehicle control units (VCUs)
- Safety and cockpit systems, domain controllers, meters
- Car navigation systems and industrial electronic modules
Available models / Variants- NAVIS Dome — large dome for full 360° / six‑side inspection
- NAVIS TT (Turntable) — turntable topology for indexed multi‑angle capture
- NAVIS Slim — compact footprint for small devices or space‑constrained lines
