Description

Overview
Our range of inflatable pipe plugs prevents accidental discharge of pollutants into stormwater networks. They are suitable for all types of pipelines from 50 to 840 mm diameter.

Benefits
  • High backpressure resistance up to 3 bar
  • Broad chemical compatibility: wastewater, oils, chemical effluents
  • High abrasion resistance
  • Perfect sealing
  • Easy insertion: weight and shapes adapted to pipe diameter
  • Optional accessories: inflation pump, inflation hose with fitting

Applications
Inflatable plugs are used to temporarily and effectively block networks and piping systems. Available in various diameters, they can be used in multiple sectors such as sewer networks, stormwater, wastewater and various pipelines. They are suitable for pipe repairs, maintenance, flow diversion or leak testing (air or water).

Materials and manufacturing
Made of high-quality elastomer, hot-vulcanized.

Versions and options
Available in standard or through-type. Options include an inflation pump and an inflation hose with fitting.

Identification
Each plug is identified by a plate indicating:
  • the plug type
  • the min / max sealing diameter
  • the inflation pressure

Usage and safety instructions
  • Inspect the pipe to remove any sharp objects (stones, deposits…)
  • Do not inflate the plug outside the pipe.
  • Never place foreign objects between the pipe wall and the plug.
  • Ensure the plug is fully inserted into the pipe before inflation.
  • Respect the diameter ranges and inflation pressures indicated on the plug as well as the backpressure.
  • Keep clear of the plug and do not stand in line with the pipe during inflation and deflation.
  • If the plug has a handling accessory, secure the plug to the handling ring before inflation to allow easy recovery after use.
  • Inflate remotely using an appropriate inflation line and do not handle the plug by the inflation supply line.
  • After inflation, disconnect the air supply hose.
  • In case of malfunction, never disassemble the plug (risk of warranty loss).
