PC-360 represents a meaningful case study of the SPC-Dimac application alongside transfer machine production. The handling of pieces is entrusted to a cobot driven by the vision system to orient parts under the cameras. A combination of a linear axis, grippers, and rotating glass table permits the workpiece movement along the control stations until the OK and NOK chutes. Available Measures Up to 55 different measures and controls for each part number, performed by 4 cameras (top, bottom, side, tilted) that capture up to 15 different pictures of the workpiece, varying lighting and piece orientation in front of the camera. External and inner dimensions on ten faces (6 external and 4 internal), inner thread hole inspection and measures, burr and scratches checks. AVAILABLE FUNCTIONS SPC-360 system works with control plan recipes prepared by the quality control department for a family of parts produced in the company. SPC-360 system interfaces with the company ERP-System to verify the correct alignment of the control plan version and enable the cycle starting. The operator chose the part number from the scheduling list of the production machines to reduce the risk of mistakes.
