SPC-EVO represents a meaningful case study of the SPC-Dimac application alongside fine-blanking production. The handling of pieces is entrusted to a patented motorized plug-and-play blister to feed the parts in the working area, filled off-line by operators. The machine managed the complete dimensional control and quality inspection of both the faces of washers and flat parts.
Working Range
About 100 different washers and flat components form fine blanking, with dimensions up to 24 mm
From 3 to 15 pieces for every batch to control, directly coming from the shopfloor.
This kind of machine is suitable for generic flat parts up to 25 mm of maximal dimension and 10 mm high
Available Measures
Complete range of dimensional controls for diameters, lengths, angles, and radii. Inspection of both faces of the part in black and white and tone of gray images. Real-time display of the measurements trend and collection of statistic data.
High-resolution cameras, special optics, and illuminators allow micrometric resolution with an accuracy of up to 5 μm. Special measuring tools for complex geometries, radii, and theoretical quotes complete the range of possibilities.
Equipment and Functioning
Motorized plug-and-play blister to feed the parts in the working area: off-line filling the blister with parts by operator – lock the blister to SPC-EVO and press the start cycle button
Blister rotates 1 step dragging the first part on the motorized glass table
The images of both faces of the part are acquired by a couple of high-res digital cameras with bi-telecentric optics and dedicated lighting. They are processed by custom algorithms for dimensional analysis and surface defect detection
