Description

Overview
Full-flow pneumatic pumps for wells manufactured by DIMACO operate autonomously without external controls or immersed sensors. They internally monitor fluid level and start/stop based on that level, without timers, electrical connections or immersed probes. They are suitable for operation in the presence of large amounts of solids and in highly corrosive environments.

TF series description
The TF series is designed for remediation sites and MSW landfill applications; proven in hundreds of installations. Materials selected for TF-TOP DIMACO pumps are compatible with hydrocarbons, solvents and corrosive supernatants; TF-BOTTOM is suitable for leachate and DNAPL. Pumps can be fitted with customized components and accessories for specific applications to improve performance and service life. The TF series is engineered to operate in potentially explosive atmospheres and in contact with aggressive substances. Primary applications include remediation of contaminated aquifers and recovery of leachate from MSW landfills.

Conformity
The TF series is compliant with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Design and construction address the Essential Health and Safety Requirements; moving parts are not accessible during operation and, when maintenance is performed according to established procedures, operator exposure to risks is minimized.

Configurations
The pumps are available in Top and Bottom configurations with fluid inlet respectively from above or below to match site requirements.
  • Top Configuration: inlet from above; optimized for recovery of supernatant product (LNAPL). Top versions can be equipped with active skimmers for supernatant recovery only.
  • Bottom Configuration: inlet from below enables recovery of heavier products (DNAPL) and allows higher flow rates.
  • Active skimmer: system for recovering only the supernatant product; follows aquifer movements using a floating float with calibrated specific weight. For large groundwater excursions, a bottom water evacuation system can be fitted to recover supernatant only.
